This workshop is open to all quilters, from beginners to ‘old hands’. It takes all those unwanted treasures, off-cuts and scraps that you can’t possibly throw away, and rebuilds them into a wonderful, calming quilt that will appeal to all ages.

This is a stash buster, so bring your scrap bags. We can use pieces as small as one inch square. Together we’ll build stripey panels you can use to create any size quilt you like. 

If you have a favourite fabric you’d like to use as a backing fabric for your quilt then sort your scraps before you come to class. Decide early on a colourway to compliment your backing fabric. If you haven’t decided a backing fabric yet – don’t worry. Just select a range of scrap colours you like together and we’ll go with that. The secret of a beautiful scrap quilt is colour control, not just a hodge-podge of every scrap in the cupboard.  

In class we’ll explore easy assembly ideas and walking foot use. This is a piece you can easily quilt yourself on a domestic machine.
