Have you wanted to create your own fabric with your own designs, then this is the class for you. Using textile paint and cotton fabric you can create lots of designs using items that can be found around your home. Dianne will share lots of ideas and how to’s with you.
Dianne has lots of tools you can use in class but do bring some items yourself to try out. Students will create a selection of designs on black and white fabric, then you will try mixing some colours to create a coloured base to work on, then make your marks over these coloured fabrics. You will create lots of pieces to take home with you that are unique to you. You can even bring some old printed design fabric you no longer like and colour over the top of that—no need to throw out or giveaway prints you no longer like, you can paint over them to make them modern.
