In this one day course you will make at least 5 small books in different styles, suitable as note books, sketch books or diaries. We will explore different ways to make colourful paper and card covered books using materials which you may have around the house. At the end of the class you should have a lovely pile of little books and will have learnt a whole load of different bookmaking techniques.
The styles of books we will make in class are an origami book, a pamphlet book , 2 different Japanese bindings and a concertina book with a hard cover.
The techniques learned in this class , such as how to cover boards, can then be applied other book styles which you might see in online workshops or in other classes.
